Ponderosa Veterinary Hospital, a well-established, privately owned, small animal hospital, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. We are ideally looking for candidates who love and excel at customer service and communication and would like to continue to learn and grow within the veterinary field. Our clients want to do everything within their means for their pets, and our goal is to provide the best care available with a level of compassion that we all want for our own companions. We are looking for someone who:

  • is capable of working with multiple phone lines as well as clients on the other side of the front counter- all at the same time, and make each feel well taken care of.

  • wants to learn the nuances of ophthalmic conditions to a level that makes them comfortable with and skilled in triaging calls by established clients and referrals from primary care clinicians.

  • is comfortable assisting with and interacting with patients (canine and feline predominantly).
  • is comfortable in discussing fees, invoices, accepting various forms of payment, and balancing financials at day's end.
  • has strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • has common sense, a sense of humor, a love of animals, and a desire to work in an environment where the bottom line isn't financial.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer Service background desirable but not required.
  • Typing skills required.
  • Some computer knowledge required; comfortable with Word, keyboarding, and use of communication tools such as Instant Messenger and email. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment.
  • Previous receptionist and veterinary practice experience are desirable but not required.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
The receptionist must be able to:

  • Be flexible in attitude and work habits.
  • Quickly learn how to pronounce, know the meaning of and spell commonly used veterinary terms.
  • Perform basic computer skills, type 30 words per minute.
  • Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying records and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs; requires sitting and standing for extended periods or time.

Small Animal Veterinary Technician - Bozeman

All West Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time, small animal technician to join our team. All West Veterinary Hospital is a mixed animal, 8 doctor, AAHA accredited practice, hosting a number of different species for services and boarding. We accommodate dogs, cats, horses, exotics, and pocket pets. We are open 7am-5:30pm Monday through Friday and 7am-12pm on Saturdays. Team work is essential to our practice and we strive to create a cohesive work place. We offer full benefits, holiday and paid-time off, retirement plan, and competitive salary. The hospital utilizes in-house bloodwork, modern equipment, digital x-ray, surgical suites, full pharmacy, and electronic records.

Responsibilities will include performing nail trims, suture removals, anal sac expression, blood draws, vaccine draw-up and administration, bandage application, medication administration, patient restraint, monitor anesthesia, radiology services, entering charges, preparing labwork, cleaning/sanitizing hospital, and triage patients. Primary responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with routine exams, surgery, radiology, wound care, support therapy and herd work. Additional duties include animal care (medicating, feeding, pen cleaning), ordering and maintaining inventory of medications/supplies, client communication and record keeping.
